Information: Every night at this famous cabaret colorful shows are professionally performed. Come and enjoy the singing, dancing, and comedy. The shows' stars are mostly katoey (guys dressed as girls). Most of them are extrememly beautiful and convincing. There are many acts, including the Spice Gays (a hilarious spoof) as well as more traditional show tunes. Reservations are recommended since this show is very popular. A very different night out.

Information: Opened in 1933, Chalermkrung Royal Theater (Sala Chaloem Krung) specialises in performances of ‘Khon’ – traditional Thai dances of around two hours in duration which carry a storyline based on aspects of Thai history and ancient Thai myths and legends.

The theater was built as a royal project and features high-tech lighting and sound which add an entirely new dimension to this classical dance art.

Other Thai performing arts (cinema, etc.) are staged at the theatre throughout the year. Khon is staged annually during winter months and plays are staged all year round.

Whether or not the theater warrants a visit is entirely depends on how much time you have, your interest in the theater and what’s on. Best to call first to find out the current performance schedule.

Information: Traditional Thai Puppet Theater or "Joe Louis Puppet Theater." A puppet performance that you can not see else where in the world but Thailand. During performance, you will see the puppeteers will not stay behind the scene but be part of the scene as well. Traditional puppets gives performances of the Ramayana - the Indian epic tale. See the incredibly lifelike human movements of each puppet and see how the puppeteers bring their puppet to life. If you like cultural show, don't miss this show.

Information: This private, modern-style theater was opened in 1993 as a center for contemporary arts. Modern performance arts such as drama, dance and puppet shows for children are staged as well as exhibits of visual arts by current artists. The center also organizes lectures, seminars and training courses aimed at promoting art and culture. Ticket prices vary according to performance.

Information: In this elegant theater of Bangkok, classical Thai dramas, Thai music bands and other types of international arts are performed with great intensity and fervor. These programs are held periodically here in the main auditorium of the building. Or else, sometimes these performances are carried out on the open air stage or small theatre. Not only this, special exhibition shows of classical Thai dance and music are also held in the National Theatre, Bangkok. Usually these shows take place on the last Friday and Saturday of each month.
