Information: There were rumours a few years ago that the bazaar would close, but that has not transpired and the Suan Lum Night Bazaar continues to thrive. The bazaar resembles something of a market mixed with a fairground in a park. The bazaar is not just is place to go to find a bargain, be it clothing, CD or handicrafts.

It is more a night out and this can include a spot of shopping, a tasty meal from one of the many food vendors, and listening to some live entertainment. There is the Joe Louis Puppet theatre and the Beer Garden where Thai bands provide the music with international beers on sale. A visit to the bazaar must be one of the more unusual ways of spending an evening but in Bangkok, the unusual is regarded as normal.
