Information: Baan Panburi is another of the Koh Phangan villages that is fairly populated. The village is located in the northeast corner of the island, and with its large resorts and clean cut huts for island, backpackers find Baan Panburi to offer more luxury than most home villages. Baan Panburi is known for being clean and for being a rather undiscovered village in Koh Phangan.

Information: Ban Hin Kong is another of the small Koh Phangan villages where rice fields are worked. Houses are for rent to vacationers in this example of smaller, more personalized Koh Phangan villages. Wok Tum Bay is in one of the Koh Phangan villages located not far from Thongsala, about a five-minute walk. The beaches at Ao Wok Tum are lined with mangrove trees and provide a picturesque landscape for a photo opportunity while witnessing a sunset. Remember, though, in this one of many Koh Phangan villages, it is illegal to take seashells or coral as they are of nature to be protected and preserved.

Information: Thong Nai Pan is a popular beach village in Koh Phangan, and it is located on the wild east coast of Koh Phangan. Steep hills, volcanic mountains and natural falls make up the topography of this Koh Phangan village. While it isn't a very popular tourist destination, it is a popular location for nature enthusiasts looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Thong Nai Pan Noi is another one of the beach Koh Phangan villages located near the east coast of the island. Thong Nai Pan Noi is a legendary village to many backpackers who take the long trek there. The village retains the atmosphere of times gone past, and when there, you can really experience true island life.

Information: Situated in the South West of the island, Thong Sala is the main gateway to the island. Many travellers will arrive at the port of Thong Sala or Had Rin (from Koh Samui). On arrival you will be welcomed by many Thais wanting you to stay at particular resorts. This is never a problem and can actually be very helpful if it during the full moon period when accomodation on the island becomes sparse.

Thogsala is the principal town for the island and is home to all the main services and travel connections. There is also a great choice of shops, bars and restaurants so it's worth visiting both in the day or the evening; there are also plenty travel shops offering tours and activities.
